Josh Eng is a postdoctoral scholar in the Berkeley Personality Lab and
the Emotion & Emotion Regulation Lab at the University of California,
Berkeley. Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Josh received his B.S. in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. After

his graduate studies in sunny California, where he eventually earned his
Ph.D. in Social/Personality Psychology from University of California,
Berkeley.
Broadly speaking, Josh’s research examines basic processes and individual
differences in emotion, emotion regulation, and well-being, particularly
as they are shaped by cultural forces.
In his spare time, Josh enjoys watching HBO TV series, eating his way
through the Bay Area food scene, and exploring Oakland and San Francisco.
