What is Kapwa?
Kapwa is for anyone interested in discovering more about faith and the person of Jesus not only in a Pilipino/Pilipino-American context, but in a practical college student perspective. Kapwa is one of the four sister fellowships of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship (IVCF), along with Cal Christian Fellowship (CCF), Black Campus Ministries (BCM), and La Fe.

Do I need to have a strong Catholic background to go to Kapwa?
No. Kapwa welcomes those from all types of religious upbringings (including but not restricted to Catholic, Protestant, and Muslim) or with no background at all.

What does kapwa mean?
Literally, the Tagalog word kapwa means "shared identity." Other meanings derived include brotherhood, fraternity, and family.

Besides Bible studies, what else does Kapwa offer?
In addition to weekly bible studies, Kapwa also has two celebration nights. On these occasions, there is a guest speaker from the community as well as a social potluck time afterwards. There are other social activities in the forms of ice skating, bowling, karaoke, and basketball.

If you have any more questions about Kapwa, feel free to ask at the Kapwa events or e-mail the Kapwa team (check the "leaders" section for more information).
