Born in San Diego, I was raised in Anaheim Hills, California. After an active high school career in honors classes and community service clubs, I enrolled at the University of California, Berkeley, in August 2004. Within the first semester of classes, I became involved heavily on campus, participating in the Undergraduate Marketing Association and Public Relations at Cal. However, I spent most of my extracirricular time with ASUC SUPERB Productions, the not-for-profit, student-run entertainment group on campus that brought movies, concerts, comedians, and various other events to the Berkeley campus.

During my third year, I took a semester away from Berkeley to study abroad in Hong Kong at the University of Hong Kong. After the lessons ended, I traveled all around Asia, visiting China, Japan, Thailand, Singapore, Cambodia, Vietnam, South Korea, and Taiwan. When I came back, I resumed working for SUPERB, got a job at a start-up company in San Francisco, and took on various side-projects on top of my schoolwork. Despite the hectic schedule, I was able to graduate on time within four years with two majors: Mass Communications and Interdisciplinary Studies Field Major. The latter major was an independently built major combining the philosophies and practices of Sociology, Business, and Computer Science. Right before graduation, I wrote a 50-page thesis on the transformation of identity online and how social networks (focusing on Facebook and Twitter) have altered the means of communication and presentation of self through hyperconnectivity and addiction of knowledge.

In summer of 2008, I moved to Los Angeles, California, and began to work at Alloy Media + Marketing as a Digital Media Planner. In my free time, I enjoy watching movies and witty television shows while doing small art projects. I am also interested in traveling around the world, creating new delicious dishes in the kitchen, thinking of new ways to redecorate my apartment, and learning and talking about seemingly useless American popular culture knowledge.
