UCB MEDLIFE CLUB

Purpose

The purpose of the club is to accomplish the MEDLIFE message, because our mission is not to just to help low-income families in Lima, Peru but to help low income families EVERYWHERE. The club focuses more on local volunteer opportunities and events in order to stay true to our mission statement. At club meetings, we get students in contact with influential speakers in the area that are in medical and public health related fields .

Volunteering Opportunities

UCB MEDLIFE has had the wonderful opportunity to partner with CCMP, an Oakland based organization that works to help low-income folks struggling with healthcare and their insurance to receive appropriate care. Students will be able to help with Education sessions, General Medical sessions with volunteer doctors, and more! UCB MEDLIFE also tries to help out in our local community in other ways, from participating in Berkeley Project to volunteering with Save the Bay.

Guest speakers

Our MEDLIFE club strives to bring speakers to our meetings who can speak on the interests of our students. From healthcare providers at UCSF to MCAT prep talks, we try to bring in interesting speakers who will help expose our students to multiple professions related to health and guide them throughout their undergraduate journey.
