Five years ago, Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper
was named the NL MVP for the 2021 MLB season. Harper has had an interesting thirteen-year career so far: he has won two MVP awards in spite of
the fact that he has had only five top-25 MVP finishes in his career. In
addition to winning the MVP award, Harper won the Hank Aaron award. Aaron
won one MVP award during his career (fewer than Harper) but had nineteen (!!!) top-20
MVP finishes (fourteen more than Harper).
