Tips

This wiki site is built using dokuwiki, you can see Formatting Syntax for common usage.

Latex / Katex

We use Katex for rendering math formula. It is a lightweight (though a bit limit) math renderer. You can check out its usage here https://katex.org/docs/supported.html

If you want to define some macro, you can use 'gdef'. For example, adding this

$\gdef\qlb{\overline{\mathbb Q}_l}$

then you can use $\gdef\qlb{\overline{\mathbb Q}_l}$ \qlb to show $\qlb$. Be sure to use curly braces to enclose the thing.

We also have some built-in macro as in here.

Copy and Paste Pictures

This is imgpaste plugin. If you are at the edit box of a page, and if your clipboard has some image in it (say, you just take screenshot of your mac, or have right-clicked on an image on an website and clicked 'copy image'), then you can Ctrl+V (or Cmd + V in macOS), to paste the image into the location.

This is especially useful, if you have an iPad and a Mac, then if you draw some picture on your iPad, you can copy the image on your iPad, then paste it to your Mac (there is a magical cloud clipboard).
