A Message from Mudhoney
Ricky Kulwicki Memorial Fund

Our good friend and Fluid guitarist, Ricky Kulwicki, died of a heart attack last month. He went home on his lunchbreak, took a nap and never woke up. Ricky was a single father of two 15 year old boys, Richard and Roman.

A memorial fund has been set up to provide for Ricky.s sons and keep them in their house with their grandmother until they graduate high school. If there is a surplus, a college fund will be set up.

Richard and Roman meant the world to Ricky. I can.t think of a better way to honor him than to donate to this fund. Donations are tax deductible.

Here.s a photo of Ricky, Richard and Roman: http://blogs.westword.com/backbeat/0217_kulwicki.jpg.

Happy Birthday, Mudhoney!

23 years in, baby! It's another year for you and me, etc. Thanks to everyone who's contributed to the site in the past year. It's been a pleasure.

2010 was heavy on shows and light on music, with Mudhoney playing Canada, Europe, Brazil, and a few U.S. shows. For side projects, Steve's Cheap Flight, Steve and Mark's Thrown Ups, Dan's G.B.D. and The Quafes, and Guy's Bricklane all gigged. New Mudhoney music was limited to 'Swimming in Beer,' which can be heard as the theme song to the Brew Masters TV show.

So far, 2011 is the opposite - heavy on records and light on shows. The year starts off with a bang, with the outtakes record Head on the Curb coming out January 18, followed closely by the Mudhoney and Kim Salmon record, and Mark and Guy's Bloodloss's Lost My Head for Drink record also scheduled for the first quarter of the year.
