Monday, December 13
Future Releases: Mudhoney plan for their next album to be released in the early part of 2006. They have six songs written currently and are planning to write another six, or so.

Also planned for early 2006 will be a Mudhoney DVD. It will contain the band's videos (much like No. 1 Video in America this Week) and live performances.

Sunday, November 7 (Updated 11/11/04)
DVDs: Hype! will be released on DVD on December 21. The 1996 documentary features a performance of Touch Me I'm Sick as well as an interview with Mark and Steve.

Dan performs on the Nirvana box set, With the Lights Out, to be released on November 23. The DVD contains a performance of School from 9/22/90 - Dan's one performance with the group. Aside from that one show, Dan recorded Sliver with Nirvana.

11/11/04 Update: Also to be included in the Hype! DVD is a performance of Hate the Police from the same show from which Touch Me I'm Sick was culled.

Painting a Picture, The I-5 Corridor and Chalky's on a Bummer appeared on the recent A Beautiful Winter EP, the first two being in demo form on that release.

Live DKT/MC5 Albums: In Australia, DKT/MC5 were selling live albums of their shows immediately after each show's conclusion. The second Melbourne album is missing the second encore. This did not take place in North America. There's no word a to whether this will take place in Europe.

Tuesday, July 20 (Updated 8/3/04)
New Steve LP: Steve will release his second full-length record, Steve Turner and His Bad Ideas in September. The labels will be the same as with the first record: Roslyn Recordings in America, Loose Music in England and Houston Party in Spain.

8/3/04 Update: Houston Party Records will be releasing the record on December 7. There's no word on whether the other labels are pushing the releaes date back. Maybe this is because Houston Party recently releaesd the A Beautiful Winter EP, and they don't want the two releases to trample eachother. b

Wednesday, July 14
New Steve EP: Steve has just released an CD-only EP titled A Beautiful Winter (HPR 103) on Houston Party Records in Spain. It is available in the states via darla.com, amongst others. The tracklisting is as follows:

The last three tracks are demos, but do not appear anywhere officially, so perhaps they will be on his upcomming full-length record. People Take Trips previously appeared on the split-45 with Jesse Sykes and the Sweet Hereafter.

Friday, March 26 (Updatesd 4/9/04)
Mark with the MC5: Mark will be a "special guest musician" performing MC5 songs with DKT/MC5. Their website is www.dkt-mc5.com.

4/9/04: Mark will be playing shows in Australia only, sometime between late June and early August. Also playing the Australian shows are Evan Dando (singer), Deniz Tek (guitarist, Radio Birdman) and Tim Rogers (singer and guitarist, You Am I), so it's unclear how the vocal duties will be divided.

Thursday, February 26
Steve News: Steve is almost finished with his new record. Some was recorded in London at Toerag Studios with Holly Golightly and Bruce Brand and other recordings have taken place in Seattle with a few different people, including Dan and Johnny Sangster.

Also, the Steve/Johnny live unit is being expanded to Steve Turner and His Bad Ideas, with Kevin Warner on drums and Jim Sangster on bass.

Thursday, February 26 (Updated 3/2/04)
Mark does Hendrix: At the Jimi Hendrix tribute show at The Paramount Theater on Sunday, Mark joined in on Hey Joe, singing background vocals. Also performing the song were Mike McCready, Jerry Cantrell, Ann Wilson and Double Trouble.

3/2/04 Update: Correction: Mark did not appear at this show.

Monday, February 16
Rare Bloodloss Online: Jack Endino, proprietor of jacksweedcafe.com, has posted on that site some rare Bloodloss tracks for download and sale. Included is the previously unreleased Fruit of the Hat, as well as most of the Ten Solid Rockin' Inches... EP remastered and the Hair of the Future and Face Down in the Mud 45s. The songs are available in the DRM-crippled WMA "Weed" format.

Thursday, February 5
New Original Sonic Sound LP: The New Original Sonic Sound's CD has been re-released in Europe on Rock & Roll Inc. Records. This time, the band is being billed with its original name, The New Strychnines, and the labum is called The New Original Sonic Sound (R&R INC 019). The disc features a new cover than the original issue.
