UTD A easily blew out UTD-One, but could only watch--along with bye team WSU -- to see if the OU frosh could upset Memphis, which would have sent the trophy to Wichita. And it looked like they were going to for a while: OU grabbed an 80-point 1st half lead, only to have Memphis rally and take the lead in the early 2nd half. OU's Robyn Conder hit a wild guess on tossup 20 after a Memphis interrupt, and 20 on the bonus would have tied. But alas OU, was shut out of the bonus. UT-Dallas A was impressive, but I thought everybody looked pretty good. Wichita State and Memphis both played extremely tough, and Rose State Piranhas had to have been of the best JC teams I have ever seen. This is a two-year school that beat Rice and stayed within striking distance of the OU frosh. OU started SLOW (a 400-something-to-55 pounding from Rice) but rebounded nicely, playing UTD A and Memphis extremely tough
