The 1999 Mad City Masters Tournament was held last Saturday in Madison,
Wis.  Thirteen teams participated, one of them cobbled together the day
of the tournament from people who had been expecting to moderate, to replace
a withdrawn team.  (Thanks Alexis, Jer, and Shane!)  Congratulations to
the winning team of Andrew Yaphe, John Edwards, and Ryan Scranton, who went
undefeated.  My thanks to all who came, both players and readers, and to
Trevor Schultz and Kelly McKenzie for writing extra rounds.

Copies of the 15 rounds written for the tournament -- now re-edited to
correct any errors noted during tournament play -- are available from me
(ehillema@carleton.edu) for $20.
