Special thanks to Kevin Olmstead, who did a lot of the background work with little fanfare and little immunity to illness. Thanks to Joe Janes, who came in from Seattle! to help for the weekend and write some questions for the game show round. Also thanks to Mike Davidson, Brandy Shattuck, Ed Markman, Katie Liming and Noel Erinjeri for moderating and scorekeeping with the excellence and dedication that we have become to be known for. By the way, on a personal, non-statistical note, Mike Burger may have presented what was the single greatest theme round in the history of Academic Competitions, the Game Show Round, which must be seen to be believed. It shall be sung of in story and legend for many years to come. Ask anyone who was fortunate enough to play on it and they will tell you that Mike's dedication to making it work (along with Joe Janes and Kevin Olmstead) was worth it, and while the Ann B. Davis holds a special place in my heart because of the Trash, a lot of that also has to do with theme round madness that follows regular play. In addition to the Game Show round, we had three taped music rounds, featuring TV theme songs, The Beatles, and 1998 AAA/Modern Rock. Couple those with an excellent AFI theme round by Jeremy White from UM-Rolla, Craig Barker's Hard-Core Hockey Round, (which can now be found on his website, link below), Duncan Robinson's long-promised sex round (I'll save the tidal wave of bad puns and double entendre for the feedback sections), and Tim Neuberger's Packet About Nothing (Seinfeld). Again, great job Mike, and all those who made ABD a smash. _______________________________________________________ Craig Daniel Barker U.S. History/Secondary Ed Major University of Michigan-Ann Arbor Steve Dunne: "You know, in a parallel universe, we're probably a scorching couple."
