I am an Assistant Professor in the Division of Biostatistics, School of Public Health at University of California, Berkeley. Previously, I was a Stein Fellow/Lecturer in the Department of Statistics at Stanford University. I obtained my PhD in Biostatistics from Harvard University advised by Prof. Xihong Lin.

Before joining the doctoral programme, I did my B.Stat (Hons) and M.Stat (Specializing in Mathematical Statistics and Probability) from Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata.

I am generally interested in Statistical Genetics and associated structured signal detection problems in High Dimensional and Network Models, Functional Estimation and Adaptation Theory in Nonparametric Statistics, and Quasi Monte Carlo Methods.
