Comment: Masaki was a very enthusiastic professor but he was a little disorganized and scatter-brained so a couple times he forgot what time class started, but he's a great guy

Comment: Professor Matsubara is always super excited to teach the class and has a vast amount of knowledge to share as a practicing monk. The readings can be very long and tedious, and although his English is not the best, he does his best in trying to explain all the most important concepts and ideas. He's very flexible with exams, and assignments, although weekly, are easy and fair. I had a lot of fun debating and discussing issues of religion and society in this class, and would wholeheartedly recommend others to take it - whether they are interested in religion or not. You talk about much more than just religion in the class.
