Comment: Wow what a shitshow of a module. Module activity was extremely easy but the exam was nothing what she taught in class it felt like. Really was challenging and literally just about everybody got a C or below on it. Terrible experience with this professor

Comment: The module assessment was fine and pretty straightforward with expectations and grading. She's an okay lecturer, not particularly interesting and she doesn't seem that dynamic, nor is she that helpful. The exam (in my opinion) was just awful in my opinion, though. Expectations for the exam were completely off-base, and looking at the truth tables, the answers were simply all over the place. There was a VERY generous curve for my cohort, so I guess it works out, but she was mediocre as a professor, in my opinion.

Comment: Plain and simple, Professor Thomas knows her stuff. She has a great lecturing style and includes relevant examples. I took away a lot of valuable information about marketing from this module and the assessment activity was truly interesting. Her exam, however, did not really reflect the material she taught. There were tons of specific questions that weren't relevant to marketing. A couple extra points were given on the exam to compensate for this so it all worked out in the end.

Comment: For those who aren't aware, UGBA 10 is split into 4 modules, with a different professor for each one. Thomas taught the third module. The most difficult and unfair module exam, and a somewhat irritating module assessment to complement it. Wasn't too big a fan.

Comment: great professor. she definitely gives more work than the average ugba 100 class, but the class is nowhere near hard. she has great experience with public speaking and her class is *actually* useful. i'd take it if you're willing to invest the time and effort into learning communication techniques.

Comment: She is very condescending and she rolls her eyes at many questions. She seemed annoyed to be there and she talks all about her self, "I this, I that." She has her favorites. She doesn't teach you anything, every assignment is like a little test, but she expects us to know. She is not friendly outside of class. She is not worth taking, I have heard other 100 professors are much better. For a 2 unit class there is way too much work and stress.

Comment: She is an absolutely amazing professor! One of my favorite professors in Haas.

Comment: Beware -- Professor Thomas' class is no joke. Although this course is only two units, you are expected to do a lot of high-quality work (more work than most 3-unit Haas classes). The beginning of the semester requires you to do a quick business idea pitch and two memos. All three of these are graded rather stringently. There isn't much work during the middle of the semester, but the end of the semester is where the bulk of the work (and your grade) lies. The "Capstone" project, due the day of your final, is 30% of your grade and requires you to do a 1.5-page business summary, a group powerpoint presentation and peer reviews. This took the average group about 15 hours during dead week to complete. That being said, the grading gets noticeably easier as the semester progresses and the the professor has a breadth of real-world experience. She also really cares that her students learn and will always give you good feedback. The workload really overshadows a lot of that though.
