Comment: This is a fantastic course that tutors local (disadvantaged) high schoolers for the SAT. It's a student-run decal. It can be tough and people skills are a must, since you're handling a full class of sometimes rowdy students, but it's a fantastic and worthwhile program. It also prepares you for future teaching, tutoring, and public speaking, both through experience and instruction during DeCal.

Comment: Hurst doesn't teach it but the [A's] student instructors lead discussion. You also will eventually lead discussion. The class is all based on the Students in the class to decide on how class works as well as how grading works. There is also a major project that devotes a lot of time. It may be a course you get get an A in easily, but you have to do a lot of work.

Comment: One thing to note here is that this class is NOT taught by Hurst - It's handled by really awesome GSIs. I highly recommend taking this class because it's either life-changing or simply epic.
