Comment: The section for this class is in-class, non-participatory observation of preschoolers. For the 8 hours of observation, we were supposed to write a 20-page paper--not cool. It's a subject that I enjoyed, but the giant paper wasn't thought out in practicality. The the two quizzes and final were all multiple choice, matching and true false (the midterm had short answer) and asked questions that were confusing regardless of whether you've done the readings. That said, the midterm repeated similar questions to the quizzes and the final repeated questions from the midterm. Professor Holloway was also pretty approachable about extenuating circumstances if you scheduled an appointment with her (she suspended office hours after the second week to by-appointment only). Class was boring, but worth it because the slides don't always have much info on them. Professor Holloway was also really useful when she ran the section, rather than the GSI, as she had more incite on interactions. You learn a lot, but you really have to put in the effort (and by really, I mean force yourself to attend class and stay awake).
