Comment: I thoroughly enjoyed this class. It was one of the best I’ve taken at Berkeley. It felt very real and there wasn’t any bullshit (besides Lab 8). I appreciated Robs straightforward teaching style and hearing personal stories about life in Forestry. This class felt like an extension of camp. Thus far the classes I’ve taken for Forestry have been very theoretical and I feel like this was the first class that kind of broke that barrier and made me see a little more of what things are really like. However, I wish there was more of a field work component, especially since we had 5.5 hours per week. I loved that I never felt stressed about my grade in this class. It was much more learning emphasized than grade emphasized and I wish more classes were like this one.
