Comment: Dr Swartzberg probably has been one of the best teachers I have had while at cal, while the class series (260A-B) material is a lot to digest and extract the pertinent information from a public health perspective and not a medical one; the class as an introduction to infectious disease excels at fulfilling that purpose and Dr Swartzberg is great if you get to know him. As a side not the class is co taught with other professors/MD's (Dr Lee Riley (260A), and Dr Scott Wisenberg (260B). Exams can be difficult, there are no assignments. Its a grad class expect to have to do work here!
