Comment: Not too much to say, pretty decent professor--not the worst I've had, not the best. Not the most interesting subject to me, but it was a fair class.

Comment: I think the reason that I struggled with this class is because Sedlak expects us to learn mainly through lectures, whereas I'm more of a textbook learner, and the textbook taught the material completely differently from the class. However, lectures were of were of pretty good quality. You were almost always given 8/10 for just attempting the homework, although that kind of disincentivized me from trying to redo my work after the first attempt, as it didn't really feel worth it spending another hour to redo my work to get 9/10. Sedlak was very helpful, giving me pdfs of old exams upon request. Unfortunately I was unable to attend discussion, as it wasn't listed on schedule.berkeley or on here, so I didn't know it conflicted with one of my other classes until afterwards, but when I went to office hours our GSI (Caroline) was extremely helpful and broke down what we had learned to make understanding simple.
