Comment: The material on family law and gay marriage is very interesting but the problem lies with Hollinger and her teaching style. Two GSIs and after a few weeks, it doesn't take all that long to determine who the better one is. Best thing you can do for yourself is to do really well on the first two exams and use the extra buffer room to go into the pretty hard final. Top 60% is guaranteed a B- but a 2.7 is hardly something you want to post on the refrigerator. Get enough sleep the night before or you'll find yourself dozing off during the lectures, given her dry lecturing style. Find out who the better GSI is and bombard his or her office hours. You'll thank yourself later.

Comment: Hollinger is, besides being absolutely adorable, an amazing professor who has substantial influence in law and policy. Her lectures can be a bit dry and hard to stay awake in for some, but I found them to be extremely helpful. Actually, I would venture to say that you could away with at least a B without even opening the reader and simply going to lecture. Though, her midterms and final are open note and open reader, so this is not recommended. This course offers interesting, engaging material that is never too hard to keep up with or follow. Overall, a great class that is arguable easy to get an A in.
