Comment: This semester was Dr. Tagliaferro's first time teaching 7C, and one of his first as an instructor (I had him as head GSI for 7B, previously). For this reason I was not too surprised to find that lectures could have been much more helpful- most of the time he basically reproduced the book on the board, and when he did not, we usually ended up not being responsible for the material on exams. Willingness to answer questions was great, however, and office hours were very helpful and clearing up some of the topics that appeared mysterious in lecture. 7C is a difficult class to teach or to take because it jumps between topics for each exam, and the only way to link the topics in problems we can actually solve is to fabricate situations that defy physical intuition or real observations. I would say this professor did an acceptable job because the assignments and exams were easier than I anticipated, but there could have been some trouble if he asked more conceptually challenging questions.

Comment: Frequently stumbles over words in lecture, but at least his boardwork is organized and flows logically. He is very willing to answer questions, but this isn't always a good thing because it reduces the amount of material we cover. Webassign sucks, but at least he doesn't dock points for wrong answers. He should get better with more experience, but try to get a different professor.

Comment: he explains important concepts too briefly, seems like he's assuming that all of us already knew the stuffs so that he only need to review. and he uses Tipler's textbook, which is the worst book that I've ever read in my life.
