Comment: Don't see the negativity with Ericka. She has been teaching this class for awhile, so experience wise, she's one of the veteran UGBA 100 instructors. Her assignments were fair. Appreciate that she doesn't nit pick on small details (i.e. points reduction for a few 'uh' and 'um' during speeches). Would recommend her for UGBA 100.

Comment: Pros: She knows her stuff and is a credible person to learn from. Very enthusiastic about the class Cons: Yikes. She is VERY nonspecific in what she wants from an assignment and will mark you down on things she didn't teach and you didn't put in. The class found this frustrating on every assignment. Also, she's not on campus much and it is difficult to meet with her. Overall, I was not a fan.

Comment: Okay professor. It is a good place to practice public speaking and elevator pitches. Lecture seemed less useful. Labs are where the magic happens when you get to practice. Make sure to get a good GSI. Some GSIs are much better than others... One GSI used "like" or "um" in every sentence...

Comment: She's very enthusiastic about this class. I don't get her idea about "authenticity" though. I think you can't judge anybody's authenticity. Anyway, a great teacher to get speech tips from.
