Comment: took this class in the summer with a gsi. as expected, math grad students can be mediocre when it comes to teaching. he wasn't bad or anything, just nothing special. the class lives up to its reputation of destroying gpa's, but a lot of that has to do with the fact that there just isn't enough time to finish the exams. the actual concepts really aren't that difficult; obviously, studying and keeping up with your homework is very important, but the hard part is being able to work through everything on a midterm fast enough to finish every problem before time is called. do all of the optional homework problems, because that's the best way to get good at computing arcane integrals and identifying what type of test to use on an infinite series.
