November 3rd | Fifth General Meeting: Syrian Refugee Crisis Awareness | 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM | 182 Dwinelle

HAPPY NOVEMBER! We hope you are as excited as us for our upcoming events, from our END POLIO NOW 5k, to our professional-development event “Ignitus!”, and then who could forget Interact Stayover! Come to our fifth general meeting to learn more about how you can get involved in all our events and more. During this meeting we will be primarily covering information regarding our up coming International Committee event in relation to the Syrian Refugee Crisis. The Syrian civil war resulted in the displacement of over 4 million refugees, three quarters of which are women and children, seeking safety and shelter across neighboring countries. Thus, we will be speaking on the topic of a rotary international project known as Shelterbox. So please join us on November 3rd in learning how you can help our mission of combating this refugee crisis and get involved in making an impact on the lives of millions!

Cal Rotaract’s Fifth General Meeting will be held on November 3rd from 7-8 pm in 182 Dwinelle and we can’t wait to see you all again! The attendance at last general meeting and our past events have been mind-boggling and we look forward seeing all of your faces and taking a break from academics for an hour!

ALSO REMEMBER, November 3rd is the last to get your End Polio Now 5k Ticket for just $15.

Prices AFTER November 3rd go up to $20!! So buy your ticket now!

Rotaract has a lot to offer, and it is much more than just a club. We provide service and help to those in need in the surrounding communities as well as those in need overseas. Furthermore, our fellowship is strong with multiple families throughout the semester as well as many socials that will definitely introduce you to some of your best friends on campus. We also reach out to the district’s Interact clubs (the high school level of Rotaract) as well as try to develop our members professionally through a mentorship program where you will be matched up with Rotarians who all excel in their respective fields of work.

We will also be accepting membership dues from those of you who are interested in becoming paid members. Dues are $25/year or $15/semester.

If you have any questions leading up to or after this night, we table every week from Monday – Thursday, 10 am – 2 pm and always have officers, membership forms, and more information on hand!

Join our ever-growing Rotaract family, because we’d love to have you with us! Hope to see you all at the Fifth General Meeting!
