Berkeley Rotary Peace Grove

Hi Service Scouts!

Cal Rotaract’s first official Service Saturday will be at the Rotary Peace Grove in Tilden National Park! Alongside Berkeley Rotary rotarians, we will be beautifying the existing monuments under the trees in time for the Peace Grove Ceremony on September 14.

“In 1955, the Berkeley Rotary Club established
the International Peace Grove in Tilden Regional Park
by planting one hundred Giant Sequoia seedlings
close to the site of a former missile base.
Each year, one tree is dedicated to honor an individual or an organization that has made a significant contribution to international peace and understanding.”

*Suggested items to bring: gloves, clippers and water.
*Dress: Long-sleeves and long pants, as there may be poison oak around.

We hope to see you there!
