He was There when I first became a baseball fan. Now just recently wrapping up his carreer as a player just amazes me. If I make it back to so.Cal., I would like to see the Stampede just to shake his hand and thank him for the memories. My fiance had the privelage of seeing Charlie pitch here at Bush stadium a few seasons ago (I did not live here at the time). She and her heckling friends were bowing to charlie(like on Wayne`s World) chanting "were not worthy!" They were amazed to see him at AAA playing in their park. I would have been also. If you have an adress I could send Charlie a Baseball card to have signed, I would appreciate it. Hope to see him coaching at Chavez soon. |
