This is a guide to connecting from home.

Windows

PuTTY (logging in)

WinSCP (transferring files)

  • Download WinSCP from http://winscp.net/eng/download.php#download2.
  • Install it, using the default settings for everything.
  • Open WinSCP.
    • Set Host Name to cory.eecs.berkeley.edu.
    • Set Port to 22.
    • Enter your User name and Password.
    • Save these settings for next time by clicking Save.
  • Click Login and you will see your home files on the left side and the server files on the right side. Drag files from one side to the other to transfer them.

Mac/Linux

ssh (logging in)

  • Use ssh to login to the instructional servers.

scp (transferring files)

  • Use scp to transfer files to and from the instructional servers.
