I was born and grew up in a
mountainous area of Shanxi, China. The name Shanxi means "West of the Mountains",
a reference to the province's location west of the Taihang Mountains.
I got my undergraduate degree in Atmospheric Sciences at Lanzhou University (LZU), China. After staying in the graduate school of LZU for a short period, I decided to take an adventure oversea. In 2010, I went to Seattle pursuing a Ph.D. degree in atmospheric sciences, at the University of Washington (UW). I learned a lot while staying there, and loved the fabulous city Seattle. In 2015 fall, I graduated from UW and joined Prof. Fotini Katopodes Chow's group at UC Berkeley. In my spare time, I like skiing, reading, running, and movies. Here is my Curriculum Vitae. |
