Welcome back potluck will be taking over the garden on Sunday, August 23rd, 11:00-2:00! Veterans, newbies, students and community members are all equally welcomed! SOGA now has drip irrigation!

Drip Irrigation in the Student Organic Garden On Tuesday July 14, the SOGA summer interns finished installing drip irrigation lines in the southern beds to help make watering in SOGA more efficient. Drip irrigation is a great water-saving trick during times of drought, and on top of that it also saves YOU a ton of time! Come visit SOGA to check out this new project and learn more! SOGA now has Worm Bins! Generously donated by Juliana Wu Worms are great at recycling food scraps and other organic material into a valuable soil amendment called vermicompost, or worm compost. Worms eat food scraps, which become compost as they pass through the worm’s body. Compost exits the worm through its’ tail end and then can be used to grow plants!
