Fall 2016 Outreach Opportunities:
Expanding Your Horizons
EYH is a national non-profit organization that seeks to inspire middle and high school girls to recognize their potential and pursue opportunities in STEM.
Key EYH Program Elements:
•One day conferences for girls
•Hands-on STEM activities
•Engaging girls with female STEM role models
•Being girls’ gateway to science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM)
•Engaging female STEM role models in large scale, small group interactions with girls, especially those from traditionally underrepresented populations in STEM
•Focus on the initial engagement to spark a girl’s imagination and transform her image of what is possible and who she can be to include STEM
The first planning meeting for the Berkeley chapter’s 2017 EYH conference is Wednesday Sept. 21, 2016 from 6pm-8pm in 2063 Valley Life Sciences Building
During this meeting, chairs from each planning committee (Finances, Workshops, Registration, Food, Logistics, Facilities, and Recruitment) will describe their group responsibilities and recruit committee members. We need you!
