Bay Area Scientists in Schools (BASIS) is a “science role model volunteer program for public elementary schools in the East Bay.” Their purpose is to connect volunteer scientists to elementary and middle schoolers in the community, and, through hands-on lessons, to engage and inspire the students.

If you’re interested in participating in outreach this semester, join us in volunteering with BASIS! Contact the SWPS outreach coordinators for more information.
