SPRING BREAK!!!
CCU

Wayne, Elliot, Wendy, Cindy, and me at the duck pond at CCU..

After visiting the national parks in Utah, we traveled out to Denver Colorado to visit Wendy's longtime friend Cindy.  She is attending Colorado Christian University which is a small school on the outskirts of Denver.  We pulled in at like 2 in the morning, dropped off Wendy to sleep at Cindy's place, and got ourselves a motel 6 room.  Trying to be thrifty we ordered a one bedroom (little did we know it would have been only 5 dollars more to accommodate all of us).  Cindy took us around campus the next day, which was covered with fresh snow from a huge storm that had hit Denver.  It was a small cozy place; most of the people there new each other it seemed.  Above is the duck pond in the middle of campus, where we would get in several snowball fights over the next few days.

Our hosts, with Cindy in the middle.  I gotta remember the other two.

We spent some time hanging out at Cindy's place, these are her roommates pictured above.  They hosted a great game of Taboo (it was my first time playing).  It was great, the best being when Leon got me to correctly guess "default" by giving the clue, the end of a case-switch in c.  Man, we are such nerds. =/

Oski, this snow-bear is for you (actually, it looks more like a carebear).

The second night, we spent at Cindy's neighbors across the hall.  CCU has strict rules about people of the same sex spending the night in the same rooms, much like BYU would later that week.  I think we only met one of the three roommates in that room.... oh except for the guy who came in at like four in the morning to find people crashed out on his couches.  HAHA.  That would be disconcerting, walking in finding two random people sleeping in your apartment without your knowledge.  But they were great about it, so we owe them big.

The third day, we built a snow-bear out on their soccer field.  You can see it in the lower left picture.  We originally intended it to look like Oscii, but it turned out more like a carebear.  hmm....

All the time we were outside, Cindy was wearing only flip-flops in the snow.  We were asking her how she could stand the cold, but she said it was better to get sandals wet than shoes.  Okay, but when we got inside and she took off her shoes, look in the picture below to see what happened to her feet!  Is it frostbite you ask?? No, just the dye of her cheap sandals imbedding into her skin.  It didn't matter how much she scrubbed, the dye was there to stay for a few days.  She didn't mind so much, look how happy she was anyways. =)

Spending time in Colorado with Cindy and her roomies was awesome, I really hope this isn't the last time I see them.  They are a wonderful group of close friends, and the happiness they shared with us those three days rubbed off on us for the rest of the trip.  If you guys ever see this page, you are always welcome to crash on our couch out here in Cali! =D

This is what happens when you ware poorly died sandles in the snow..
