Apparently, black holes can spin objects that they are pulling in, causing their victims to toilet-spiral toward doom. This effect, called frame-dragging, is most prominent near massive, fast spinning objects. A computer rendition of this effect is shown here. The fabric of space-time curls around the singularity.
