Before posting a topic, please check if a thread already exists for it. I know it is annoying to have to search for your topic. However, it's even more annoying to have a bunch of disjoint threads hanging around on the same topic. If too many disjoint threads are developed, I'll delete some of them, and they might be yours.

I see why it's important to check the other posts before posting, but this forum has 48 pages of topics! Is there an easier way than to go through the topics than spending half an hour pressing "next"? (This is also pretty annoying for those who are searching for answers to problems)

There's the 'search' option at the top of the page
and you could try google, with site:www.ocf.berkeley.edu along with search terms.

Google is probably the better option - the built-in search is a little temperamental - though Google will usually be missing the last few days'/weeks' posts...
