Sophomore year in college is a sort of transitional year in itself like your frosh year. To a certain degree, it's also like experimenting with new haircuts once you've settled down to a routine. You know that a certain hairstyle looks good on you, so you're secure that you'll look good one way or another. However, it's a good time to try something new, to take new risks, and see how that goes before finalizing something permanent.

And that's a little bit like how my second year went.

One of the biggest things I had against my first year was that I didn't feel a sense of community in the residence halls. I found that through CalSO. My biggest goal going into my second year was to establish a community and to get to know the people in my dorm. Using my position as a Health Worker to reach out to residents, to make new friends, and to try new things for myself, I came out of my second year self reflecting a lot and developing even more than I ever expected.

This is my second year at a glance.
