"This is what Sun was talking about..."

You know what's amazing?

I went to the DMV this morning near downtown San Jose.
And I went in and back out in less than 15 minutes.
(and successfully completed what I needed to do there)

They had some 23 windows open or so.
I came in, walked to the counter at the front, asked what do I need to do with the papers, and was handed a number and letter. I'm guessing the letter is even partly based on some estimate on how long I'll take. I walk to the waiting area, contemplate taking out my DS for an round of Ouendan, only to notice they're already 3 away from calling my number even though I see over 10 different people sitting in the waiting areas.

By the time I put my stuff down, my number's up.

Ah, the benefits of massive parallelism. (you knew there had to be a geek joke in there somewhere) :P

Oh, and it feels nice to know my car is now paid off.

Limited Edition Nintendo DS

Hmm... so I have this thing about buying/getting so-called limited edition stuff.

Examples (there's bound to be plenty more):
1) My sis got me a 4th gen U2 iPod for christmas years back.
2) Tons of trinkets at the 2005 World Expo.
3) Red Mario Kart edition Nintendo DS.
4) Black Griffin Powermate USB shuttle control (it's basically a knob for video editing or sound editing).
5) Apple Power Macintosh G4 Cube.
6) Various prototype computer parts off ebay.

And after finding out that for a while my $150 red DS was selling on Amazon.com for $600, here I go again. (it went down in price back to reasonable values now though)

I bought this:

Momotarou Dentetsu DS: Tokyo & Japan

Question is, should I keep it? Hold on to it as a collector's item? Hand my red DS over to my sister and hope she takes good care of it?

Oh....and should I preorder this?

Nintendo DS Lite (Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings ~Sky Pirate Edition~)

I mean.... it's Final Fantasy related, which means people will eventually go nuts over it.

And it seems I forgot to mark the last couple of entries publish. Heh. Whoops.
