HUBBA Membership Benefits

Paid Members receive all benefits + official membership.
Non-Paid Members do not receive the last four benefits (6-10).

  1. COMPANY PRESENTATIONS: HUBBA regularly sponsors events in which representatives from accounting, consulting, banking, marketing, finance, and other various fields come and enlighten students about their companies, and assist them in personal and professional development.
  2. INTERNSHIPS: SAGE, SEO, AND INROADS: are three internship programs that past and current members have received summer internships with. Subsequently, participants have been offered full time positions with premier Fortune 500 companies.
  3. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES: Members are given information on externships and are exposed to organizations such as the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA), which enable them to receive assistance in receiving internships with major companies, as well as network with professionals who are in the top tier of their fields who are willing to provide them with further professional development advice.
  4. SOCIAL EVENTS: HUBBA puts on parties and other events such as game night and bowling night in order to help students relieve the stress that can build from their rigorous coursework.
  5. NETWORKING WITH STUDENTS ON CAMPUS: Collaborations with other established organizations such as the Latino Business Association (LBSA), the Black Recruitment and Retention Center (BRRC), and the Black Engineer and Science Student Association (BESSA) enable HUBBA members to expand their networks and meet peers with similar interests.
  6. SCHOLARSHIP: HUBBA annually awards the most dedicated and academically determined members with scholarships at the end of each spring semester.
  7. RESUME EXPOSURE: All paid members are afforded the opportunity to have their resume put in the HUBBA’s Official Resume Book, which is distributed to our sponsors, as well as other large corporations, such as Nike, that request it.
  8. MENTORING PROGRAM: Undergraduates are paired with upperclassmen, Cal Alumni, and Business professionals in order to provide students with resources and academic and professional development support.
  9. TEST BANK: Students are given the opportunity to take advantage of HUBBA’s continually expanding test bank, which includes previous tests from the prerequisites for the Haas School of Business such as Business Administration 10, Statistics 21, and Economics 1, as well as other popular classes on campus.
  10. BANQUETS: Complementary admission to the banquets which occur at the end of each semester.
