Problems with School, Work, Relationships

The internet is an excellent way to interact with people who are out of physical reach, but using computers as a substitute for traditional social interaction will almost certainly lead to serious problems. All of the physical and psychological symptoms associated with unhealthy levels of computer use are related. A lack of sleep or drop in hygiene, for example, may further aggravate the situation with respect to school, work, or interpersonal relationships. A lack of sleep can dwindle one's performance in school or work by making one less alert, responsive, and quick-thinking. It can also leave one grouchy. When coupled with poor hygiene, one may become less appealing to others.
