I also went to the Animelomix office for a bit of interesting business.
It has something to do with ringtone voices. I'll have more information later.

I was surprised!! The "media" page has been updated with a lot of stuff when I wasn't looking!!! Speaking of which, I'm very touched with all the support I've been receiving from people with the upcoming release of my maxi single and DVD. So then, by all means please keep checking this site.

By the way...
Yesterday, I sang the chorus for the first album of fellow JAM member Endou Masaaki. I was also honored to work with him on the lyrics.

A small portion can now be viewed on makusonia. (Have you seen it already??)
Starting in November, the song will be featured in commercials for Animelomix... This commercial is very good! ...What do you mean, you ask? You'll just have to wait and see.

We put the finishing touches on the Nov. 27 release DVD!!! (^-^)/
I think the end product is very interesting. Ten years of history condensed neatly down into a summary of "How Much Okui Masami Has Changed." I hope you'll like it!

Woke Up Very Early...

For the past few weeks now I've been getting up very early in the morning. Some time before that I used to go to sleep at 4-5 in the morning, then wake up at 11 AM; but now I wake up at about 7 o'clock. (@~@)
I'd like to work on my album at this "healthy pace." Since I'm up anyway...

Speaking of which...
This is a late notice, but the coupling song for the single to be released on Nov. 27, "PURE," has already started its run as ending theme for pop broadcast "Animelomix"!
Be sure to check it out! (And check out Takahashi Naozumi-kun's swwweeeet voice!)
I might even appear as a guest sometime!!!

Oh, and... On my radio program KISS3, I'm planning to start adding new songs and shift to power play!

Sutadori

2003/10/26

"Sutadori" was held today in Kobe.
Despite the presence of rain-girl Yonekura Chihiro-chan and uber-rain-girl Makkun, it turned out to be a very sunny day -- probably because super-strong sun-girl Hayashibara Megumi-musume was there?
Thought it did start to get very cold at dusk...
It was our first formal event performance as r.o.r/s.
I felt strangely nervous... It was like a solo performance where I kind of just think, OK, let's just do this! r.o.r/s mostly features dance music, so I really worried about how to give our audience a good show. But in the end, I came out on stage being just like me, and r.o.r/s being just like r.o.r/s, and thought, everyone will definitely have fun.
With only 3 songs, it was a little short, but thank you for cheering for us out there. m(_ _)m

P.S. - I'm very happy to have been able to catch up with Hayashibara-san, whom I haven't seen in a long time, and for being able to meet Horie Yui-chan and the two people from angela.

Busy, Busy

I'm currently in the middle of Sutadori preparations and recording the r.o.r/s album, as well as writing songs for my solo album.
Also, I've chosen my songs for the Musashi Institute of Technology school festival concert!!! Hehehe.... (*=^-^=*)
I'll be performing my new song "SECOND IMPACT" of course, and I'm really excited to see how it'll work out with the band.
I hope you all enjoy it!!
In any case, I'll be dancing and singing in two days at Sutadori!

The Whole Day Today

Aaaaaalll day long I was listening to r.o.r/s songs. It's true! I'm desperately trying to memorize all the lyrics for the Kobe event on the 26th. I'm singing a bit as I practice my dancing.
Um... I've always thought this might be true, but it really is important to sing aloud when practicing (especially when you have to dance, too). If you don't, your body won't be used to the radically different situation of the real thing.
It gets tiring singing and dancing with all my might, so I'm going to have to edge slowly into it or else... (T^T)
So anyway, rather than doing image training, I really went for "serious mode" today.

Choreography Rehearsal for New (r.o.r/s) Song

We had choreography rehearsal today, for the "Sutadori" event on Oct. 26. It's again very different from what we did in "Candy Lie," but I think it'll look great if I can get the choreography down. I'll be doing my best all the way to Kobe!! (^-^)/

Important News: Stamp Rally

There's a thread on the MaBIC bulletin board so I wanted to write on it a bit here.
On October 27, "SECOND IMPACT" and the 10th anniversary commemorative DVD "V-mode" will be released; also, on February of next year a new album and a best album, "S-mode#2," is scheduled for release.
We'll be holding a stamp rally for these 4 items. We're planning to present the lucky 4 people who collect the most stamps a special "Pre-release music CD plus album," guaranteed.
Now this is an important part--it's going to depend on each CD shop whether they go along with this stamp rally, so we'd like to confirm with the stores before we proceed with sign-ups and so forth (this message is from King Records).
This piece of news is certainly very important to those who've been thinking of pre-ordering the CD and DVD. I'm very m(_ _)m about taking so long to bring it up. Incidentally, this pre-release song is a newly-recorded song which I wrote with a deep feeling of gratitude for my 10th anniversary. There are no plans to include it in any future single or album releases. I'm sorry, I'm out of time so I have to rush through this in my diary!!

Also... about the "SECOND IMPACT" maxi single, for the first-pressing edition, a "Invitation to a Premium Live Concert" and a special leaflet with a raffle ID number will be included. The concert will be held in December. The ordering deadline is still pretty far in the future, so to those who have already ordered it in advance, please head over to your nearest store and get a refund, OK? (^^)

A "stamp rally" is a sort of contest where you get a stamp booklet and you must get as many stamps as possible from various checkpoints along the "rally course."

I've also downloaded it. (^o^)v
It's a first for me to be able to get a song as my incoming call ringtone before its release date in stores. It's pretty amazing!
It's really nice.
In just a little while, these songs will be playing on the radio and elsewhere, too.

Actually, I joined Animero and tried out downloading my own songs. And wow, I was surprised by how clear the sound was. (@o@). The sound volume is pretty high, too. I've set my incoming call ringtone to be "Jama wa Sasenai" and my mail ringtone to be "Ano Hi no Gogo."

Working on the DVD Today

I worked on editing the DVD "V-mode," which will be released like the single "SECOND IMPACT" on November 27. The release will be a double-disc set, and today I did the video editing for the "Birth Live'03 & more" concert from last March. Some brief details about what you'll see... Well, a Certain Someone and Another Certain Someone appear as special guests, and people in the audience wave their pink lightsticks, and so on....

By the way....
October 7 was Youko-chan's birthday, but after I thought about it for a loooonng while..... oh no! I realized it was also my mother's birthday. |(--)| It's on the very same day....

It seems like it coincided with the start of ticket sales for their soccer season, and it's been very busy down there....

Another Happy Birthday!

Today is the birthday of the guitarist in the new "okui" band, Macaroni-kun. Macaroni-kun and fellow guitarist Monta-kun will be performing in the band "The Space Funkool" in a concert titled "MACARONI BORN."
I'll be bringing some friends to watch it.

I wanted to invite a lot of people to go watch the concert, but I ended up going with just Kitadani Hiroshi (aka "Danny").
One of Danny's acquaintances was also (by chance) there, so it was interesting.
There were quite a few people there whose faces I recognized..... (It was like the MaBIC gatherings.)

It's Ishida Youko-chan's birthday today.
We both made our debuts, well, perhaps quite a while ago?? This year has been a busy one for both me and Youko-chan, and I think we're both trying our best.
(Though I really shouldn't say so about myself...)
I hope we'll be able to keep helping, supporting, and motivating each other in the future.
Anyway, good luck on your first live concert!!!
I'll also try to keep doing my best! (^^)/

I'm currently working on editing for the single and DVD scheduled for release on Nov. 27. Shall I give a few hints about what they'll feature???
There will be some things from this year's Birth Live (the 10th anniversary). Weaved in with some past footage... is the general idea.
Howeeeever!!
There will also be some of my favorite video footage, so it'll be quite interesting.
(This favorite footage is stuff that personally gives me a (*o*) kind of feeling.)

We Filmed the PV!

The PV for "SECOND IMPACT" finished up without a problem.
Today, we took some film shots outside, and then went into the studio to film some footage of the band.
I went in at 7 this morning, and we ended at about 9:30 PM.
Good work to all the staff and the members.
I'm sure it'll turn out really well.
It was a completely different feel than r.o.r/s filming, and I felt able to show a lot more expression on my face. (^^)
In any case, I sincerely want to see this PV right away.....

SECOND IMPACT

Today (Oct. 2) we finished up everything. (^o^)/
Now all that's left is to wait for the completion of the CD.
We'll also be filming the PV for this song on the 4th. The members of the new "okui" band will be appearing in this PV!!!
You might say that is PV will have a tiny bit of a "hard" style to it...?

The coupling song "PURE" is about to air as the ED theme to radio show "Animelomix"!
I'll be giving more details soon.
Takahashi Naozumi-kun's chorus work is very good!

I'm watching TV right now as I write this, and a commercial just come on for JAM! And right afterward, there was a commercial for Megu-chan (Hayashibara)!!

It's Morning, It's Morning...

Today (Sept. 30) I did more recording for the single.
And, as it turned out, I had another all-nighter... It's 4 AM on October 1st right now.
Finishing up the JAM concert also went on until early morning, so it seems I've been having a lot of all-nighters lately... I'm gonna have to check my complexion later... (--;)
Oh, that's right...
There have quite a few news announcements cropping up. My solo single "SECOND IMPACT," to be released Nov. 27, will be Animelomix's commercial song (airing November). [1] My first collaborative work with Takahashi Naozumi-kun, "PURE," (featuring chorus by Takahashi-kun!) will be included...
