The October Revolution occured in November 1917. It is called the October Revolution because it occured in October by the Russian Calendar. Russia did not adopt the modern calendar, with its various leap year corrections, until after the Revolution. By this time Russian dates had slipped quite a bit from what is now standard.

And it is called a Camel Hair Brush, not camel's hair brush.
A camel's hair brush could be made of many different things, depending on what the camel's groomer bought or used. A Camel Hair Brush was a particular brand of hair brush (for people) circa 1900.

1] How long was the Hundred Years War?
answer: 116 years
reason: 100+16~=100 for extremely large values of 100

2] Where are Panama hats made?
Answer: Ecuador, for over 300 years. In more recent years, they are also made in Hawaii (US), Costa Rica, and other parts of the world.
Reason: They were once distributed through Panama.

3] Catgut comes from which animal?
Answer: Sheep and Horses
Reason: The cat in the word may have derived from kit, an old word for a small violin.

4] Russians celebrate the October Revolution in which month?
Answer: November
Reason: See prev posts

5] A camel's hair brush is made from what?
Answer: A Camel hair brush can be made of ox, goat, squirrel, pony, or any variety of other natural animal hairs
Reason: Camel is the name of the person who invented the Camel hair brush.

6] After which animal are the Canary Islands named?
Answer: Dogs
Reason: The islands were named by the Romans and so bore their Latin name: insulae canariae, or "island of dogs." The birds are named after the island, not the other way around.

7] King George VI's first name was…..?
Answer: Albert
Reason: Kings chose their "crown" name. Albert was his "given" name

8] A purple finch is which colour?
Answer: Crimson
Reason: I-have-no-idea!!!!! Hack, I didn't even know they were birds until a few moments ago -- I had to look it up!

9] Chinese gooseberries are from which country?
Answer: New Zealand, the U.S., Europe, and Chile.
Reason: Chinese Gooseberries are native to China but are now grown commercially in other countries. In Chile, these fruits were initially called Chinese Gooseberries, but they are now more widely known as kiwis, which comes from the kiwi bird, the national bird of New Zealand.

10] The Thirty Years War lasted how many years?
Answer: 30
Reason: Duh!

On the subject of the Thirty Years War I'd like to point out to the fact that it was a period of time during which a number of wars took place. Most of the (leading) Western European countries were involved, the main fighting took place in Germany, however. A sad example of what (supposedly) irreconcilable confessional contrasts can bring about Cry

The Thirty Years War began with the
Defenestration of Prague on May 23rd 1618
and ended with the
Peace of Westphalia on October 24th 1648,
so it actually lasted longer than 30 years if you consider the whole period as one war.
