In the two summations below, each letter represents a different digit.
 
AAA + BBB + CCC = FGHI
AAA + DDD + EEE = FGHI
 
What is "A"?

A=I-1.  
 
However, in this solution, each letter doesn't represent a different (interpreted unique) digit.  B and C are represented by F and I.  I don't see a solution where each letter is a unique digit.

FGHI = 111 * 19 is one solution. Too lazy to check for more.
