The Chinese were talking about the focii in eliptical orbits, and how the great mass of the Sun had to be one of them. The English were debating whether the other was the centre of the celestial body, or some other centre of gravity. One brash Brit offered his opinion loudly, and was propmptly defenestrated. Which centre of gravity did he propose?
