Would the Rolex be sophisticated enough to receive signals to automatically update the time if she crossed a time zone?  If she lived 2 minutes from the timezone line, and the bar was a minute walk beyond there, the zone would show 1 hour difference.

Could it be a GMT Master?  The GMT Master shows the local time and GMT time.  So, when "the Rolex shows 8:05" and "The Rolex shows 9:20", one might be the GMT time.
