A cop is strolling down the streets of New York, when he notices something in an alley. He walks over to it to find a man dead, with a gun in his hand and a tape recorder. He picks up the recorder and presses play, and this is what he hears.
" I have lost my job and my family. I'm ending my life tonight." Followed directly by a gunshot. The cop then files a homocide instead of a suicide. Why?

Maybe because people who commit suicide don't generally bother to go out into the alley to shoot themselves..
Nor ::press the stop button on the tape recorder and rewind after they've successfully killed themselves.
Of course the tape might have stopped and auto-rewinded after it reach the end..::
