An archaeologist/paleontologist who has found some set of artifacts/evidence created by one individual who was there at the time, but at a time/culture where the word "history" does not exist?

undoubted the "correct answer" has been offered.
but that's not what's got me thinking...

"the meaning of the word history" is an interesting phrase.

I could happily covince myself that a Pavlovian dog, salavating at the sound of a bell,  has not only a grasp of the meaning of "History", but has learned from it.

Sure, you can't say "History" to it, and something in the recesses of its brain converts the sound to the concept ... but that's a failing of language barriers.

I dispute that a creature, capable of leaving clues to their existance and lifestyle 50,000 years ago was incapable of storing memories of what has transgressed that day, that month, that year and learning from them.

Otherwise, someone from the Amazon wouldn't know what the meaning of the word History was- solely because they don't speak English.

The answer has 'two letters', so what is it?  Someone already gave it away?

By the way, should the question be asking 'who am i' or 'who is he (that person)'?

Maybe not- but I figured that  BOSTON82 offered a good clue- maybe two different letters, but the name is three letters long?

Well. I do not get it, noke. What?
But, how about [ur]. as in ewer. as in a vase or pot.

So, you get a lot of history from a "person" who is actually a ewer "ur" (you are). And the person does not know the meaning of the word history, because it is a bucket.

I got this from Honkyboy, thanks.

mayeb rewording might give my take on it. It doesn't feel great though.

I learned more about early history from Adam than from anyone else...

Well partly beceause apparently, there WAS noone else. And what else were they going to  do?
"hi... I am Eve, I guess.  Where is this? Where did I come from?"
"You probably won't believe this so sit down- it's a long story..."

Eve has two different letters, but is three letters long.
