Following the example in Japan and the first two legs of our journey in Great Britain and Hungary, now we left Europe and went to Africa. This time I guess it is a bit more difficult than the earliers, but yes, you are too good. First postcard: See attachment. Second postcard: Do you know what was to protect some from those who were to be protected by them? Third postcard: Here even a hat on the table could have been dangerous! Fourth postcard: My brother lives at 129 Castillo St. Santa Barbara CA So, let's meet. P.S. To make it more difficult for the enemy agents (and those don't have the solution) shall we return to the absolute GPS positions?

I think I may have the answer but I'll let someone else go for it. I find the GPS locations to be bothersome. Too much extra work involved. But that's just me.

Send it to me in a private message, I can confirm it. Btw, finding the GPS position through Google Earth I also find challenging and fun, so it might be a good idea to play around with that too.

This thread seems to get stuck. If it is because Tom though he had the solution, I can tell you it is not the case. So the agent is still alone, looking for some help. If the GPS positions seem to be difficult, we can still solve it without it, like the earlier "Where am I?" threads.

Well, I guess I'll take a shot, then. Number four seems to refer to a chariot museum or something similar. Two and three seem far too general to me. Then again, if I could understand number one, it might be clear. As it is, I can only guess some sort of museum pertaining to eastern transportation. Maybe this will help someone in the future. Sorry, secret agent person, unless I got lucky, you're on your own.

I am lonely... #1 is very concrete. WTF - Not too far with #4. But why do you try to overcomplicate it? Call it what it is. #2 and #3 you do not even need if you have #1 and#4, but if you do some research once you have it, they definitely confirm.

The first clue is arabic script for Cairo. The Carriage Museum is in the Citadel in Cairo. I'll see you there! (Still don't know about 2, and 3. Does 3 have anything to do with Indiana Jones, Raiders of the Lost Ark?

[off] Sorry, I was away for few days... [on] Nice to meet you agent Desert Lizard. No surprise that in Egypt we needed a Desert agent On the hints for those who want to know: Card 1. Indeed it is the name of Cairo in Arabic. Card 4. It is indeed a Carriage museum. These two alone were sufficient to solve it. So the other two were actually a bit more difficult to use/understand. Card 2. A far hint indeed. The Citadel - where the museum is - was actually built for those (army) who were to protect the city and its citizens. But actually it was in some time more used for protecting those who were in from those who were out. Card 3. Another far hint. The building was used by the British army as the Officers' mess. There is a British tradition that when a senior officer is visiting an officers' mess, they will leave their hat on the table in the foyer to give fair warning of their presence. Some details are on Wikipedia. But get ready, I have already moved on to India and will send my cards soon...

All of them. The Carriage museum in the Citadel of Cairo, which used to be the Officers' Mess pre 1946. Your solution was correct, but only partial. The area of the Citadel is too large, so we would have missed each other if you only know that.

Ah I thought the carriage museum was too easy of an answer as it was a postcard in of itself. See you in the next place.

Well it was not. First you had to realise what that address (in the US) meant. Second, there are more than one Carriage Museums in Egypt. The city, the previous use of the place or the larger complex it is in, could identify which one. Still, a good piece of the fun, we still miss. From the next one I prefer to return to the GPS positions, since that is also fun to find a place on the map/satellite image.
