The Blue & Gold Yearbook is the official yearbook for the University of California, Berkeley. Published since 1875, the Blue & Gold provides readers coverage of events, issues and trends within the Berkeley community. As a historical record, the yearbook also includes campus facts, figures and people, including a section for graduating seniors’ portraits and majors.
Our mission is to truthfully encapsulate the current, unique Berkeley identity — its culture, events, and lifestyle — as students, for the students.
The Blue & Gold Yearbook staff is comprised of over fifty individuals who design, produce, market, and distribute the book. Financially self-sufficient, the organization earns its revenue without aid of grants or outside funding. The Associated Students of the University of California (ASUC student government) formally sponsors the organization and provides it with office space.
B&G team members come from a wide variety of backgrounds, majors, and interests, but share the same passion for community and telling the Berkeley story. We recruit at the start of each semester for our design, photography, copy, and marketing teams. The application for Spring 2021 is now open. Check out our Join Us page!
