Here is the preliminary text for our club home page, much of it taken from
the handbills we'll be distributing soon.  Tell me what you think.

The Cal Libertarians

"Government even in its best state is but a necessary evil; in its
worst state an intolerable one" -- Thomas Paine

The Cal Libertarians are a group of U.C. Berkeley Students who want to
get overly intrusive government out of our lives.  Unlike liberals, we
think that you, not the government, should decide how to spend your
money, but unlike conservatives, we also think that you should decide
how to live your own life.

Libertarians believe in minimal government involvement on _all_
political issues.  We uphold a high degree of individual liberty and
oppose the limitless expansion of the state.  We support free markets,
freedom of speech, and freedom of action.

We invite you to come and get involved in our organization, and in the
Libertarian Party, America's thrid largest and fastest growing
political party.
