Glitch vs. Valkyrie

About

Combat Robotics at Berkeley started with a singular obsession: make a BattleBot. Through the countless design iterations, late nights working on CAD and backbreaking machining to finish our 250lb BattleBot Glitch, CRB’s become so much more: an awesome way to develop our hands-on engineering, marketing and business skills; an outlet to pour our competitive nature into robotic optimization; and a tight-knit community of friends. Glitch competed in BattleBots World Championship 6 and World Championship 7, as well as being a winner of BattleBots Champions. Glitch boasts the longest win streak of any BattleBot: 7 straight wins, and is known for its low, stealth-bomber frame profile and destructive egg-beater weapon. Starting in 2024, CRB opened membership to all without applications and launched a successful pilot program that allowed new members to design new 1lb robots from the ground up in small teams, moving on to larger and more competitive projects. In the past two years alone, membership has more than doubled.
