Luz Murillo Co-Executive Director lplsexcutivedirector@gmail.com (530) 554-6189

Hi, all! I’m Luz- a graduating senior majoring in Sociology. I’ve been involved with LPLS since I transferred from Solano College, and I’m Co-Executive Director for the semester. Through this organization I’ve solidified my interests in pursuing a law degree. Particularly now during this tense politial climate do I think it’s imperative that honorable, and diverse individuals pursue the law as a career. I hope this organization can be to you what it is to me- a safe space where my interests are represented and my voice is heard. I hope to see all of you soon.

Mayeli Soto                      Co-Executive Director  lplsexcutivedirector@gmail.coM 310) 387-3674

Hi, I am Mayeli. My major is English and I graduate this semester. I am a transfer student from El Camino College and I am originally from LA. I am co-executive director for LPLS and am very excited for what’s coming this semester for our members! I discovered that I wanted to be a lawyer when I had my first mock trial in 5th grade. Today, I am uncertain of what specific law field to choose but I am most certain that I want to go into the law field to make the system equal and available to all. This being my last semester, I hope to enjoy Berkeley to the fullest; from exploring cafes to drowning in my readings, to capturing every moment in my memories. See you soon!:)

I am pursuing a joint Law-Public Policy degree, and I wish work specifically with education policy and reform. I have gained valuable resources and information through this organization, but more importantly LPLS has offered me a community to help with the challenging path to law school.
